The Me In The Mirror
2024 - Student Project
The Me in The Mirror is an intense and uncomfortable psychological horror walking simulator placing players in the shoes of Daisy whilst she suffers from depersonalization-derealization disorder and attempts to recover from an abusive relationship.
Players will experience how her trauma and developed depersonalization disorder affects her everyday life, contorting her and the players perception of who and where they are whilst being stalked by a past version of themself that still holds the painful trauma she experienced.

My Responsibilities
Lead Designer
Lead Programmer
Producer
Team Size: 2
Engine: Unreal Engine
Duration: 2+ Months
This project is the result of my Unreal Engine module where I first learned how to use the engine and where I created my first ever first person game, and first game in Unreal Engine.
During this project myself and another designer took responsibility for every aspect of development. We both ideated, designed mechanics and levels, paper prototyped, blocked out in engine, wrote the narrative, added environment art, wrote blueprints, scripted events, wrote the design documentation and managed the project.
While we designed all aspects of the game together, we each took a level and worked on that on our own. Every part of the level in the demo video on the right was solely done by me. I had the second half of the game so I made my level more of a challenge with harder and longer chase scenes and gameplay segments with fail states.
Innovation Fest 2025

At Innovation Festival 2025, Dylan and myself showed off The Me In The Mirror. I designed the poster and handled sparking up interest in our game alongside talking to guests, getting them to play the game, and answering questions. It was a great experience and very insightful as many guests who attended played the game and offered their feedback! Alongside The Me In The Mirror, we also showed off an early prototype build of our upcoming project; Project Cube.
